However ...

We need to treat people nicely.  However, bullies are everywhere, and we cannot endure forever.

For example, a former colleague of mine considered me as a threat to his job security, and started to lie about my performance.  I found back after collecting enough evidence, and he was fired a couple of months later. 

A former VP kept asking me to do what I was not supposed to do.  I fought back, so that I had the chance to do what I was interested in and acquire enough experience for my next job.

 

 

 

Once my female boss asked me to taste a cake she was eating.   I just said NO!
