academic vs. private company

2 jobs:
(1) current: assistant professor, non-tenture track. Has pretty good relationship with boss and colleagues, has freedom to develop research interest, however, also has pressure of grants and publications for promotion

(2) private company- middle size: assistant director and 95% work at home, max 30K higher pay. The job is not hard but can be very tedious and condense. An ex co-worker quitted within 1 year and said she really disliked the culture. If stay in this company, it is almost impossible to come back to the academic fields.
