- Regarding the error with the study design, it's not my opinion. A said it herself. B knew it too. Everyone was in the room when we reviewed it.

- I don't agree about your comments on capability though. A knew the history of the project. In this regard, it's better for the project to be handled by A. I agree she has more knowledge on this project than me, since she has worked on this product for >2 years.

- I have many other projects with B. Those other projects are new ones that I am involved from beginning, no such history issue.

I get it that it's not good to quit the project now.   

Also, I should do more to "persuade" B to support me in my performance review.
