If I were you,

I would follow my dream - to do what I truly love and enjoy (though you need to properly prepare for the new challenge).  Life is short.  Why waste it?.  This is NOT a cliche.  Based on personal experience - if you have a passion for something and willing to work hard for it, and you will do well.  Monetary reward is important but that is not the only thing.
