it is a very important benefit.

I am not an expert on this regard.

The follows i shared with you were what I learned from some friends who retired before age of 60.

The reasons are:

1) you start to receive health insurance coverage from medicare and medicad only after you are 65 or older (please confirm the details);

2) if you retire at age 55 and without such benefit, you may have a 10 years of gap without health insurance coverage. Or you need buy the health insurace yourself, which could be quite an expensive cost.

Thus, it is a quite good benefit.

Nowadays, not many company offer such benefit package.

The key you need pay attention is: what are the details of the package?

is it 100% or x %?
