Maybe because the location of your company is not popular.

I know a lot of experienced people are picky on locations.  In my area, there are a lot of openings but people only look for positions in certain places where most techies live around and other facilities around. Well, that certainly says experienced tech people are not that many. :) Maybe a lot of them have retired with startup money.
