resigned

I went to boss and big boss' offices to tell them individually that I have chosen to transfer to another dept. I was surprised how nicely they treated me. Most shockingly, big boss even said, after a period of time at my new job, if I want to come back, the door is always open. I think my reaction to that must be very funny. I stared at him, speechless and then asked "are you serious? Do you really mean it?" Guess I am the most blunt person in the whole wide world. well, have no intention to come back, but that nice guesture did make me feel good. He must have laughed inside "how easy to fool an employee". Anyway, will have lunches with a bunch of my friends around here, though I am not going any where. Letting each one know individually takes a lot of time.
