"高處不勝寒" makes me want to change my plan...

1. I am High tech worker(programmer) and working for a big company from home every day 2. Life is so easy/confortable for me, 

3. but in terms of career wise this is dead end: I am the highest rank in programmer and no more promotion for me e.g. no way to be manager since work from home...

 

So Plan to find a local job and climb higher in the career ladder, but now I am afraid I run into bad situations like Nancy in your article...
