How to fight back with Indian boss effectively?
Thanks for everyone's response to my thread a few hours ago titled 'Problem with Indian boss. Fight back?'. I decide to fight back as everybody suggested.
There are 3 parts that I am considering to include in the reply:
1) Warning from HR: I will not sign the HR paper by stating there is not enough ground for a warning from HR.
2) I've sent an email to Indian boss and her boss recently about my career development, stating I am still boxed/limited in my caree after numerious 1:1 meetings and after boss's boss's suggestions 5 months ago. I think this resulted in her resentment of me by including her boss in the email. I can request further discussion on this topic.
3) The project that I worked with her (the warning is from that project): I plan to document in details how her behavior led to project failure. Boss's boss knew project failure is because of her from complains from other group, but I can provide further details and solutions for futher - actually she removed me from the project and caused the failure.
My questions are:
a) Should I focus on 1) only? Or is it ok after 1), mention 2) and/or 3) for further discussion?
b) I plan to document and talk to HR. Is it better to include boss's boss in the process too? The boss's boss is brought in from Europe and seems to be very impartial. After my recently email about career development and the my boss's project failure (complained from other group), she sent 2 surveys to all employees to evaluate their boss and also company culture, but she didn't asked me to have a personal talk, unless I make an appointment with her. I think she wants to get an overall evaluation, not just from me, though she suspects the Indian boss is the evil one. In this case, is it better to include her?
c) My boss's boss know about the HR warning, but don't know the details.I am a little concerned of her image of me, since the Indian boss can speak black to white, and white to black.
Please give your opinions/suggestions, include the tough ones, if any. Thanks.
