Need to know the pay band for your position

it should be open to any e'ee. ask your boss.

usually company likes to keep e'ee's pay at 90-110% of pay band.

let's say your position pays 100,000--150,000 as market value. with good perfomance, it is fair to ask 100% pay band, that's 130,000 or so. Beyond that much, you are ready for a promotion to higher pay band, 130,000-180,000, yahoo~~~~.
