One of my friends' company didn't want him get the insurance money,since more people claim the insurance the higher insurance rate the company will have to pay in the furture.
So, the company forced him leave his job by playing a game with him. He claimed the insurance under the item not "quit" nor "layoff" either, but something in between.
In the end, after doing the investigation ( lawyers also got involved), the government gave him the money.
