Here is the process for CPA..........
1. You need to first verify with the state what accounting and business courses you need to have before taking CPA exam. 2. If you already qualify for seating in the exam, schedule the 4 parts, and pass them as soon as possible.
3. After you pass the first part, update your resume, indicate that you are in the process of passing the exam. Try to land a entry level staff auditor position in a local CPA firm. The Big 4 only hires entry level from campus.
4. Pass all 4 parts of CPA, gain 1 year experience from the entry level auditor position, and apply for CPA license.
5. Try to move up to in-charge staff, then Senior auditor, then Manager, etc.
6. The first 1-3 years in CPA firm will be low-pay and stressful.
7. After you move up to Senior or Manager level, the job will be much higher paid, but still stressful.
8. Once you move to Director/Principal/Partner, the job will be highly paid. stressful if you don't know how to delegate, and not stressful if you can delegate and develop business.
