very hype for the past several days.

The trouble I mentioned a few days ago is still not over. After combing through document records in all relevant departments and partners, I still can't recover key documents. So Wed, I wrote a detailed report (i guess a lot more details than the stuff being investigated), felt like a detective, thinking maybe I should explore a career in FBI. That's another topic.

Anyhow, this report has been sent to all senior members in this group. Then I notice some difference in people's attitude. Looks like I am the trouble maker and as the messenger, I would be the one taking blames of some sort. And this is why I prepared the investigation report, to cover my own axx if this ever becomes ugly. next Tue, sr. managers will be all back from vacation and a meeting is scheduled to talk about this. It just happens that I will be on vacation. I have talked with my friend to watch my back for me and will talk with boss to make sure that I am the innocent one here. But still...Soemone has already sent email out to other partners that due to some issues in the section I am responsible for, the timeline may be delayed. A sign that attack is coming and it is coming from my back. My friend shared this email with me, teasing me of being the reason the whole group may be gone. Although he was joking, I felt there was some kinda bad feeling and truth in it.

Anyone has similar experience here, that you discovered a major issue and by the end was viewed as not being a team player (since you may single-handedly destroy the whole team), or became scapegoat? Retaliation happens a lot in industry. I have to prepare myself for this. If anyone here tells me to trust mnagement, either they are too naive even more than I am, or they are misleading.
