3. How to improve your English

Language is probably the biggest hurdle in the careers of all Chinese in the US. But most of the people understand that English is not our native language, that cuts us some slack. However, if you want to be a professional manager, that has to change.

Here are some tips on how to improve your communication skills before you English becomes perfect
1. Write more ... all the time
2. Use short sentences and words you know well
3. Use bullet points in emails with clear logics
4. Don't cut and paste
5. Go to lunch with co-workers, don't just sit in your cubicle and eat your leftover from last night everyday.
6. Spend less time reading Wenxue City :-) spend more time reading CNN or other English websites.
7. Watch more drama on TV , less Chinese/Korean operas.
8. Try to sing along with pop songs in English (your pronunciation will improve , trust me ...)
