Prank follow-up

after careful thoughts over teh details of my prank plan, I went to my friend today, laid out my full plan to him. No point to keep him in dark since this is also to make him feel better too. He refused to be a part of this. Told me that it is a high-risk, no-benefit business to him. There is nothing he can gain out of this, except a moment's amusement. But will have to pay with tremendous pain for a long time. I do not give up that easily. By the end, though he still refused to do this verbally, I can tell he is really interested and is thinking of a way to convince big boss that he can work with me on this program. Basically make the prank a real plan to take over.

I scheduled a meeting with big boss myself. Thought about dragging my friend into this meeting. But his comment was "the two of us with him alone? that will do him just like that". What does it mean? "too much truth". not sure what he meant. Anyway, it would be easier if I talk with big boss one-on-one.

My opponent has been working behind the scene to regain control over this project. Everybody knows about this. and he has been pretty aggressive but somehow he worked towards a target that has no market value for the product. Still, it is not hard when I asked another person to talk with him that he should bring up any "concerns" to the big boss and provide "guidance".

So far, it is quite on track of what I planned.

In the mean time, my boss and sr. director talked with big boss individully. It seems that big boss is on my boss' side. But as much as I know him, he would still be subtle when talking with sr. director. This is certainly not the end of it.
