Need advice on Career development in big corporation

Just started working for a big corporation in January. It seems that majority of chinese in my company are technical professionals while few are at the level of management. Dont know what my future will be in such
an environment. Just plan to focus on setting up technical foundation and improving my communicaiton skills. I know many of you are NB gurus. Could you please give any advice? Thank you
