After interview, I always write a thank-you letter to everyone. Also, I will follow up if I do not get the answer by the deadline they promised. It will never hurts to ask.

At the same time, I will move on to look for the next opportunities.

As Laotu said, the employers will contact you right away if they really need you. I was interviewed with a company on Thursday. HR called me the following Monday and asked me for the second interview on Tuesday. I went there and they gave me the offer on site and asked me to start to work in the following week.
