If you have Ph.D. You should get a title of senior scientist or senior engineer, not associate.
Associate title is for those who do not even have a bachelor degree. Basically for those who have associate degrees (大專，中專）。

Your industrial salary should be AT LEAST 2 times of what you have as a university research associate.

In industry, associate is not for Ph.D.
