Also open to contract positions as well. Go to as many interviews as possible and it will make you interview skills better. To cheer you up. Both offers I got were permanent positions. Believe yourself, you will get it.

Just a side note, since you were in one company for such a long time, you probably were not reading many books. Buy a few and read them. Also try some on-line skill tests which will help you to be better prepared.
