I think her boss tries to be mean with her. Everyone makes

mistake at some point of time, boss certainly ignores the mistake if he needs you or simply likes you.

If he no longer needs you or your skills, he will make up the excuses to let you go, no matter you gives him chances or not.

Never mind, it is not wise to work within an organization where your skills are not needed.
