I have heard the same thing from my managers. "it is a question of style" according to them. But I think they simply do not want to hear different opinions. So do not say anything or at least know when to stop. they like people who always roll over and do not want to be challenged because they usually do not stand on stead ground. Team decision basically means "boss rules". This is what I learned from my experience.
