It takes two sides to agree

You discussed your needs. It will be helpful to think about the needs of the company. Do they need you to work on something urgent? Who can take over your work when you are on leave? How can you help the person to do your job? Would you work a few hours a week to help? Can your support them from home?

Once you have a few options to help the company to get through the next 3 months, you can discuss with your boss. Be sincere and helpful. If your boss determines that he/she can get through the next 3 months without you, he/she will find a way to make it happen. Good luck.
