Tell them your concern about asking your boss

fro reference. Ask them if you can have a co-worker (whom you can trust) as reference at thie point of time, and will let them talk to your current boss once they have interviwed you and start seriously considering you. If they say no, then they are not considerate and not the worthy people to work for. So just forget it and look for other oppotunities.
