Help!!!

I , with another engineer (Indian), have been working for a small company over 6 years. My performance is always better because of my hard work.

A new direct boss(Indian) joint us several months ago, he was/is very unfair to me. He always assigns non-critical projects to me, and gives all critical projects to the other co-worker. Although I have done more work than the coworker, my work is invisible and insignificant. I have realized he even wants to layoff me.

How do I protect myself in the situation? I feel so unfair, helpless.....
