It really depends...I got similiar experience as LZ's:

- I went there for on site interview on Tue
- I sent thank you letter on Wed, hiring manager told me they will have a few more candidates to interview, hopefully will get back to me by next week
- Hiring manager called me on Tuesday next week and provided me oral offer
