I think we are talking about 2 questions here

1. what is your response to yelling during team meeting
2. whether you need to fight to get what you want and how to fight.

I think the post is asking answers for question 1, not 2.

for question 2, well, fighting or not fighting in a meeting for question 2 is irrelevent. To fight for what you want, the effort should be spent before meeting or before the decision was made. Yelling is the worst strategy there. Being cute works better for me, as far as not provoked.
