In 2007 the company start to layoff employees right after I started my job there. There were 3 layoffs before I left in 7 months. I had to find my replacement because my manager was so upset. The guy I recommended to the company is still working in the company today.
Don't worry too much.
It won't hurt if you start to look for job now.
Your old resume is still useful.
