You: Was the party at xxx on Saturday night fun?

Kid: yeah, it's awesome.

You: It's great wasn't it? Too bad we had to go home because everybody was tired.

Kid: I didn't want to go home. I wasn't tired. I...

You: (cutoff the whining) but you'd get exhausted too had we stayed much longer.

Kid: uh, I guess.

You: Well, the economy had a lot of fun and eventually had to get tired. When the economy is tired, it's called a recession, like when we recess to our home and go to bed.
