Never complain in written

Written words are cold and can easily lead to undesirable side effects. If wrong words or too strong phrases were used in written, people will over-react to it.
Take 10 to 20 minutes to talk to your direct boss who is responsible to review your performance and you will have chance to clarify misunderstanding face to face, and you will know how your boss react to your complaint immediately.
Also, do not say too many negative things about other people. Maybe your boss hire her/him. Just talk about things and responsibilities related to the project.
