You are right, tax should not be that bad. But many companies are doing in house now and they don't have much money for big 4. I think big 4 is only good for big public companies or rich companies. The work is not efficient and price is high. All the clients want is the reputation from big 4 and investors can get confidence from the names.
The reason I came to big 4 and staying with it is that I expect i can learn all the standard reporting and calculations. I am the second year now and I feel I have very much to learn. That's why I am still with it even I see so much inefficiency here.
