in 1970s, there were two >7.0 earthquacks in sichuan also with only 3 years gap.

1973 Luhuo County (爐霍縣) magnitude=7.9
1976 Songpan County (鬆潘縣) and Pingwu County (平武縣) magnitude=7.2   (九寨溝)
