This happened to my car once. I had

a Nissan Altima many years ago. I had my first oil change at a dealer. The techinican forgot to place the cap back. The oil did spill, but there was no chance of catching fire as engine oil is not combustionable. I took my car back to the dealer, and they cleaned all the oil from the engine.
