它的宗旨說得很明白: Consumer Reports is an independent,non profit organization whose mission is to work a fair,JUST,and safe marketplace for all consummers and to empower consummers to protect themselves。
它對車的測試有那麽個說明: We think that real value is not necessarily how much you spend but what you get for your money. Vehicles that are reliable, perform well, and don't cost much to own represent the best values. Overall, small cars and sedans provide the best bang for the buck.
它從來不說那個產品好壞,它隻給測試報告。就像車的報告一樣,"真正的價值不在於你花多少錢買那輛車,而是它的性能和你付出的價錢值不值。如果你花少錢而買了同樣好的車那不是更好嗎?”(我的英譯中不好)。
