try this:

there is a button on upper left of the plastic rim of the GPS, in GPS mode, you push it twice, it will go to main screen, and then you push it for 2 seconds it will hibernate. If you leave it open while driving, it will hibernate when you turn off the engine.

I assume yours is also based on Windows CE operating system
