I don't like the suction cup which came with my current Garmin 780. After the GPS fell off once, I purchased the Garmin Portable Friction Mount - Frustration Free Packaging, which has been holding the GPS really well, and has never failed me.I did not see 2460 in the list of compatible models, but I did see 1490. I think the 2460 model should also be compatible.
