Got my 2000 Camry similar problem fixed a few month ago

By replacing a starter. Cost US$330.

AAA guy help to pin point the starter problem. While I could not start the car, he asked me to keep trying start by turning key, meanwhile, he used a hammer to tap starter, after he tapped a few times, the car started. He confirmed that is starter problem.
