engine brake, but engine speed went up too much. Still in break-in period and it's not recommend to go beyond 3500rpm for diesel. Transmission is so smooth. You don't feel any gear chang hesitation during acceleration. Highway cruising at less than 2000rpm even at 80mph. Amazing. The torque is 425ft.lb between 1700~2200rpm which is plenty for highway passing with ease. I'm sure your 4.4 is even better from zero to 60mph.
