剛買了Accord EX-L V6 $27k OTD
A few days ago, I posted "Test Drive CRV vs Pilot vs Equinox vs Escape vs Outback vs AccordTest Drive CR-V v.s. Pilot v.s. Equinox v.s. Escape v.s. Outback" . Called me weirdo, I ended up buying an 2010 Accord EX-L V6 w/o navigation. I want to share my
experience here should any people are interested in the Accord V6.
I'm in northern California. My county tax rate is about 9%.Price paid $27k
OTD. Dealer only wanted to give away the wheel locks for free. I talked to
the him over the phone about the prices already, and we agreed on the final
price, $27k. So when I got there, we didn't spend a second on price
negotiation again.
It is a dark cherry exterior with ivory interior, a color difficult to find
in northern California, and I don't know why. Fully loaded except the
navigation, which would cost $2000 more- IMO, Honda is crazy to charge $
2000 for a navigation system no matter what fancy features it has, plus
owners has to pay $189 to upgrade the map should they want to do it .
When cursing on the freeway at a constant speed, say 60-65mph, it runs on 3-
4 engines. I saw green "Eco" light turned on when this happened。This is the
Honda "Variable Cylinder Management" (VCM), a cylinder-deactivation
technology as a cheap fix to boost mpg. Kept pressing gas peddle,Eco lights
turned off, and more power kicked in. I could feel it when the VCM was
running. But I didn't feel much delay when I pressed pedal, VCM turned off,
and V6 kicked in. Overall it was there but didn't bother me as some Edmunds
V6 owners complained.
I like the handling of the car, although I have to say it drives like a full
size car, kind of bulky.Interior quality could be better. I just need more
driving of it to post more comments.
