06 HONDA PILOT quality ?

Found an used 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L. The seller asked for 13750 usd. He got it from an auction. The car looks good with 80k miles. Unfortunately he has no idea of the car's history. Is that possible for a seller? He told me the VIN 5FNYF28646B003273 and let me to find the history. One concern is I heard HONDA Odyssey has big problem with its transmission which is supposed to be the same model used on Pilot. While I didn't find any thread online about the complain about Pilot's transmission. Can anybody help me to find the car's history? Is this a good deal ? Thanks a lot!
