expert opinion appreciated

this 2010 Honda-city mini car is wrecked by a speeder in china, the insurance company wants to pay for repair which is about half of new car cost, but my relative wants a new car. It looks very much total to me, so my question is, if it is repaired at Honda dealer in china, will it have safety compromise? It came with ABS, front and side airbags, and maybe some more features.
