I agree with you chassis is important,

But it is technology know-how not an art of tuning. Anything that can be mass produced to a same standard can't be work from artists.

Don't get me wrong. I have 2 BMW's and love the cars. But I don't have blind loyalty if BMW losses its edge. Multiple test reviews recently had 5-series beaten by A6 and 3-series beat by S4 (although narrowly) are reasons to be open-minded. But I am still dubious of Audi's build quality.
