My father was not seriously hurt, which was very lucky. He came US to visit me, so he doesn't have any insurance. He will leave US 3 months later. Therefore, we may not have enough time to deal with it.

The driver is not the person who owns the car.But they are both from another state (PA, not NY). Because the police didn't write down the insurance inforation, I don't know how I can get it.

I'm going to meet the police to see how much I can do for it.
