If it is burning oil, then your piston ring probably was worn out. It is not a easy job, and it's expensive.

Check three things if losing oil:
1) If ground is oil-wet,then external oil leak (fail gasket)
2) If coolant is brown, then internal oil leak (fail head gasket)
3) If black smoke from exhaust pipe, then worn piston ring
