Syn oil is prone to causing engine leak

Although syn oil has been improved it's still true.
My put is - unless a car is required to use syn oil (or any specific type of oil, like Jetta TDI requiring 505.01) or you are in an extreme environment, stay with what manual says, as that was the car designed for...
