Why Toyota gets high ratings?

Look back all the posts, I found Toyota has high frequency of problems in starters, EGRs and electronics. I also have seen quite some pretty new Toyota on the road with burned-out rear lamps. Overall, I wonder why Toyota get so high ratings.

My almost-totaled 2000 Accord has 125K mi. All the electronics are working fine. No burned out lamps or EGR or starter problems. I am sorry to see it go. It is still running even though it was almost totaled.

I have a 2008 Lexus as well (Made by Toyota). I hope it is better than Toyotas. I like its features so far
