Surely you have a strict definition on 4x4 :)

According to wikipedia, the definition is

Four-wheel drive, 4WD, 4x4 ("four by four"), or AWD ("all wheel drive") is a four-wheeled vehicle with a drivetrain that allows all four wheels to receive torque from the engine simultaneously.

In abbreviations such as 4x4, the first figure is the number of wheels; the second is the number of powered wheels

So if you admit this commonly acknowledged defintion,
I guess we call still call RAV4 CRV as 4x4 too.

I know you are the real hard-core offroad ethusiast, but I just want to say as a true friend that maybe
sometimes you are too harsh too other SOFT offroaders.

After all, there is nothing wrong to drive a RAV4 or
CRV. You know, unfortunately, I have a RAV4 too.
