A BMW uses performance tires, at least V-rated, most probably W-rated. A performance tire usually involves two layers of steel belts plus two layers of polyesters beneath the tread surface. I am not sure if your Ford style repair can meet the requirements of performance tire driving. If you really have to do that way, please put it in the rear.
