Wrangler is really a fan car to drive and I myself really wanted to get one as a weekend vehicle, however, I need to get the budget approved from my wife (which is quite tough...)
If you do a lot of highway drive, I guess FJ and pathfinder are both good, I personally suggest Pathfinder because:
1. I have one and I love its good balance between
reasonable offroad ability and good on road mannter
2. FJ has unconventional door configuration
(the door for the second row opens backward)
which is not as practical as the Pathfinder.
3. I would suggest your consider Xterra too, its
style is much more aggressive and it is slighter
better than Pathfinder in offroad area. Besides,
I noticed it is almost the same size as Pathfinder
and is more affordable.
We are lucky in time when a lot of SUVs are available
to choose from
