Don't know about Cayenne but

I had a brandnew 4runner 04 base model, really love it, but its bit small and rough ride, and price can go really high if you want better equipped.

There were some good deals on GX when gas is $4.5/gal, 04/05 models OTD for ~$20K, tested quite a few GX also,its more of an upscale 4runner so when tried LX I gave that up.
