It's depend on how do you drive, what kind oil, what kind car/age...When you change oil at 3kmi, the oil still have same color? How about 2.9kmi? 2.5kmi? The engine wear and oil break down are a gradually progress. For my car, 2.5kmi oil already will lower the engine life for fact.
Do you want save the engine or save the oil?
